HAPPY 2012!!!!
This year I want to focus on more creative scrapbooking, more inspirational topics, more completed projects... Scrapbook albums and projects that will be more meaningful.... Topics you will scrapbook about which will add value and fulfillment to your life..... Projects you can, and will want to complete, show off, and hold onto for life!
The first month's theme is "Fresh Perspectives." I want to start the year talking about fresh perspectives, new ideas, fresh beginnings, and how to cultivate the BEST YEAR yet! For me, I am going to spend a little more time being more creative. I've been allowing myself more time to add embellishments and other types of crafting medium to my scrapbook pages. I have also starting making cards which can really get the creative juices flowing! Recently, when I was looking through past projects, the ones I love the most are the projects where I was able to be creative with my pages and create the "memorable" images. I love the projects where I let go of my inhibitions ... forgot about "I don't do that" or "I can't do this". I've heard other scrappers/crafters say, "I don't use stickers" or "I don't like the color pink" or "I can't hand-write on my pages." Truth be told, I've said a few of these myself. But, then I started to ask myself "why"? Let's let go of those ideas and JUST CREATE and be crafty! Doodle, draw, write, paint, color, stamp, and enjoy incorporating some creativity into your life!
So, here is your challenge.... take something you USE to create with... paints, crayons, pencils, yarn, embroidery floss, even something you used as a child, and make a project with it. It could just be coloring at a restaurant, or doodling on your notepad at work, or finger painting with your kids... how did that feel.... did it bring back good memories.... can you get some fresh new ideas using those mediums? This month, and this year, we will be about taking time to create! I believe EVERYONE is creative, just don't let your own inhibitions take over. Go create!

Christmas Cards Finished
I'm so bad...here are the rest of the Christmas cards I made this past December.
All the stamps for the pictures/caricatures are from CTMH. The cards turned out looking pretty good!!!
Needless to say, though, I didn't send them out. I sent a photo of the family to Walgreen's and used that.
There's always next year! And I already have 6 ready to go! SWEET!!!

CTMH's January "Little Reminder" Stamp of the Month is just what you need to start off the year right!
When you spend $50 in one order during January, this stamp set ($17.95 value) is yours for only $5! WOO HOO! Of course, you can also purchase it at it's full retail value of $17.95, but why do that when you can shop for great products AND get this stamp set for only $5?
I also wanted to point out that this stamp set has images that coordinate with the oh-so-wonderful CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Collection too!
See the designs that are outlined (the cirlce of months, circle of days)? Well, that outline tells you that it is a shape that coordinates with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.
On the carrier sheet of the set, it tells you exactly what size to cut the shape on your Cricut so that it works perfectly to stamp on. How cool is that!
You can get this stamp set in one of two ways:

Christmas Cards Continued
Here's another card I made. I cut the postage stamp looking card from the Cricut®Art Philosophy Collection.
Not sure if you can tell but I added some silver Stickles to the snowflakes to give them some BLINGY BLING!
Missy
I messed up on the "Merry Christmas" stamp so I had to embellish the card by stamping "Merry Christmas" on another piece of paper and cutting it out. Then I added a piece of foam tape to give it some dimension.
Not sure if you can tell but I added some silver Stickles to the snowflakes to give them some BLINGY BLING!

Starting Christmas cards!!
I started making my Christmas cards over the weekend. I didn't stay with one design. I'm still trying to decide what I want to do for this year. I'll probably end up with 4 sets of 7 different designs. I guess that wouldn't be too bad...give me some variety. I still need to go through my address list to get a count of how many cards I will need. But for now, this is the first design I made.
I love the vintage look of this Santa from the St. Nick stamp set.
I used the CTMH watercolor pencils to color in Santa and the holly and berries.
I'll add the other cards that I created throughout the week so make sure to stop by again.
